Education

Beyond Christian course we are also planning to offer more general courses open to the wider community such as language courses. We are also in the process of establishing a library and resource centre.

As Christ-followers we believe that it’s important to grow in faith and in knowledge. We encourage our members to join small groups where most of this growth should happen, but we are committed to providing opportunities for all members to deepen their knowledge.

Our Society Steward in charge of small groups is Victor Bedeman, who also looks after the Alpha Course.

To encourage growth outside of the small groups we also offer study materials to individuals and courses for large groups (usually on a Sunday evening). These studies are aimed at Christ-followers who are excited about journeying deeper in their faith and struggling with difficult questions that don’t always have easy answers. We have used this time to run the Alpha course , our home grown course called Bible Study 101, a progressive look at the origin of scripture, and “DreamThinkBeDo” from the progressive organisation called Living the Questions. WE also invite guest speakers to help us deal with challenging subjects such as White Privilege.
