Congregation

Our congregational life is centred around communal worship on a Sunday morning. During our post-lockdown reopening we will initially only open for one service at 10h00 with strict Covid-19 protocols. Prebooking through our office is recommended. Services are child-friendly, but there will no separate Kids for Jesus at present. See here. We meet during school terms at 18h30 for more intentional teaching and Bible Study. See here.

As we meet during the Covid-19 pandemic services are limited by numbers and other restrictions such as social distancing and a ban on community events. At present we will not be singing as a congregation and are considering the implications of opening our Communion table. Services will be simple and short, including both adult and children’s content.

We have various teams dedicated to making our congregational life a transforming encounter. Teams include the Welcoming Team, Communion Preparation Team, Worship Team, Decor Team, Presentation Team and the group of enthusiastic teachers looking after Kids for Jesus..

Once a month (usually on the third Sunday) we hold a Celebration Tea All Communal activities are currently in recess due to Covid-19 restrictions.

We organise regular congregational events such as our annual picnic, a regular fete, family camp out, movie nights, quiz evenings, our December Holiday Club for primary school children and other fun events..

Apart from from Sunday mornings, our Women’s Auxiliary meets once a month to put their mission, ‘To know Christ and to make Him known’ into action. WA meets in the church hall on the last Saturday of every month at 14h00 in a relaxed and informal way with speakers, activities, fellowship and of course tea and cake at the end of each meeting.
